Just me that think this song reminds too much of a part of ELP's Sage?

specific story influences?

[edit]

what specific story influences do you think H.P Lovecraft's story have on the song?

I think there is an actual story caled "The Call of Chthulu"

- Yes the book is titled "Call of Cthulu" a great book. i recommend it

FWIW I've heard that it was also heavily inspired by "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". 128.208.35.192 (talk) 21:39, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hangar 18 similarities

[edit]

I think the wording on the similarity on the chords to Megadeth's Hangar 18 is poor. It makes it sound like this song was influenced by Hangar 18, when it had to be the other way around, Hangar 18 was from '90, and Ktulu was from '84.

Yea, i think that part should be rearranged or deleted

Edited section

[edit]

The Doom source was not reliable and it is greatly debated that the song doom imitated was Hangar 18 and not Call of Ktulu. Irrelevant information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.3.255.193 (talk) 00:29, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Resurrection?

[edit]

I'm aware of the decision to redirect all non-singles, but The Call of Ktulu was particularly notable because it was Metallica's first instrumental and brought a lot of attention to the group. Considering this, should we restore this article? Dandaman32 (talk) 01:01, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
