Alan York

[edit]

In the movie Alan York is the name of the farming consultant who plays an essential part in creating the farm. I know this because of this NPR interview: NPR - Biggest Little Farm Offers Ways To Improve Man's Relationship With Nature (Interview with John Barco). However I am hesitating to create a page about Alan York because of Notability and hesitating to include the link as an external link because I have no idea if people from other countries can access the NPR web site. Yes, we can access the NPR web site. It would be great to create a page about Alan York, such an outstanding ecologist. 187.170.3.61 (talk) 15:30, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ecological Farming

[edit]

The film seems to be an example of Ecological farming but I am having trouble sourcing it. Thinkadoodle (talk) 16:37, 2 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Subject analysis

[edit]

This article would be greatly enhanced if it contained information on the farm's details. How big is it? How many livestock? Any announced data on investment and revenue? These inform those who might be inspired to try to replicate this feat in their own lives. DulcetTone (talk) 02:12, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This article is about the film rather than the farm. There are some details in a 2019 LA Times piece, such as that a team of 60 works the farm and that they are certified biodynamic. A number of film reviews mention how the film glosses over the financial picture.Dialectric (talk) 18:15, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
