06/08/06 I think we need to add things to this page, and make a distinction between the major branches of neuroscience. sluox

I agree. I think all the subfields should have a standalone page defining the subfield. I'm not sure though if there's much use in that list of (empty) topics though. The topics in systems neuroscience are the functions of each of the neural systems. Listing them to say something about each and keeping it fresh sounds like a task for Sissyphus! It might be better to have a "see also" list that links to more specific articles. That would also reduce redundancy. SJS1971 23:16, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved the {{neuroscience}} banner from the article to the talk page. Typically, these project banners are placed on an article's talk page, not in the article itself. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:20, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Content question

[edit]

I rarely ever make changes or contribute much to wikipedia due to time constraints. Despite that, I wonder if the sentence beginning "Researchers concerned with systems neuroscience [...]" is a little bit too similar to the one found on MIT's page regarding Systems Neuroscience . Should this at least be acknowledged with a citation? T4exanadu 00:09, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recategorizing

[edit]

"Systems neuroscience" is basically an umbrella term, so the best way to use this article is as a pointer to articles that are more specific. Accordingly, I've rewritten the article a bit, and I'm reclassifying it as "Dab" (meaning "disambiguation"-class) rather than "Top" for Wikiproject Neuroscience.
