Dranda / Babushara

[edit]

I think this airport used to be called Sukhumi Dranda Airport in the Soviet days, but is now referred to by the authorities of the Republic of Abkhazia as Sukhum Babushara Airport. What I don't know is whether Dranda and Babushara are two different villages located nearby or whether they are the same village under a different name. Anyone know more about this? sephia karta 20:18, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to ru:Бабушара (аэропорт) Dranda and Babushara are two different villages located nearby --Ds02006 (talk) 02:41, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, these are two different villages. The airport itself is in Babushara; Dranda is located nearby and is the biggest village in the vicinity. Alæxis¿question? 06:42, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info! So should we rename the article? sephia karta | di mi 14:05, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think the renaming will reflect the current name more exact. Ds02006 (talk) 16:54, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
