Article reads like marketing copy

[edit]

I've added the advert template because reading through this it seems like marketing material, not a factual article. This is in large part due to the strange references to obvious functionality (mounts on a boom arm, works with Mac and Windows), oddly specific functionality (compatibility with TeamSpeak, but no reference to other VoIP or chat/meeting apps), and copious references to positive reviews and awards by various blogs. The closest an article should get to this is a list of actual users (as is on the SM57's page).

I'm not ready to commit to taking on the task myself, but the article could definitely use some help from someone more knowledgeable (who doesn't work for Shure's marketing department). Richalex2010 (talk) 05:59, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I composed the text you don't like. I don't work for Shure, nor did I accept any money for writing the piece. I was busy writing the Shure SM7 article when I kept bumping into sources talking about how great is the new MV7.
The article includes praise because that's what is in the sources. Binksternet (talk) 12:27, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
