Episode Guide

[edit]

Can someone point me in the directions of Wikipedia's guidelines of episode guides within a show's article? The guide on this page was deleted, apparently for being unreferenced, but was once again deleted after references had been added. A separate article for an episode guide seems entirely unnecessary, and would undeniably be merged with this article, but I can't find any guidelines on episode guides within a show's article. Thanks. 94.5.151.144 (talk) 13:30, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Which references? You just said that episode 1 was a reference for episode 1. That was already obvious in the previous version. Anything independent? Any reviews? Anything that might move this article closer to notability? Given that the notability of this whole series is highly questionable (that's what a "no consensus" closing of an AFD means), including a huge episode list with detailed plot descriptions really is not warranted. --Randykitty (talk) 13:51, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • What does this have to do with notability? The references were primary sources to verify the information, because the best source for a plot is a primary one. As an example, if you were to write an essay Jaws, you would start by watching Jaws, not by reading the summary of Jaws on IMDb. Once secondary sources have been used to establish notability (as done by default in this case), primary sources are the most reliable sources for lots of information, particularly plot. If sources that were "already obvious" do not need to be listed in references, them I'm happy to leave the episode guide entirely un-cited. You say that an episode guide is "not warranted," I'm simply asking to be linked to the guidelines stating this to prove that it is not simply your personal opinion.
