Bought by Microsoft

[edit]

"The service is currently not operational, but a cryptic message on the Seeqpod homepage indicates that the company may have been bought by Microsoft." What is the cryptic message? Where is the citation? There is no explanation or reasonable way to evaluate the truthfulness of this statement. Until it can be reasonably ascertained I am going to remove this last bit of hearsay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.245.249.95 (talk) 06:25, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bankruptcy?

[edit]

Dudes, is this some kind of a April's fool, or is seeqpod really going under? Any verifiable sources? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.177.112.137 (talk) 19:42, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"iPhone & iPod Touch"

[edit]

this entry claims that seeqpod is the first iPod Touch/iPhone application to allow playable search results. This is patently untrue, as the YouTube application bundled with the iPhone allows the same. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.36.68.164 (talk) 00:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube does not allow playable search results in the same way that SeeqPod does. YouTube actually hosts the content that it plays. You search for content on the YouTube system and it plays from the YouTube system. SeeqPod searches the whole internet, and can then play music/video from those other sources. For instance, you can search for music videos (videos hosted on youtube) through SeeqPod, and these videos will play in your SeeqPod window. It means SeeqPod accesses data in a different way.BeebleBrox6 (talk) 01:11, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"search verticals"

[edit]

The term "search verticals" should be clarified; it is not immediately clear what it means, especially for people not familiar with those economic/business concepts. Benandorsqueaks (talk) 08:02, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

What's this about the page being written like an ad? I'm killing the tag off, if you want to readd it, please put something on the talk page.

[edit]

page says mimvi is in alpha and will be publically traded feb of 2010, it's a year later now. I'm an editor newbie, do we remove the old citation? 71.168.95.39 (talk) 23:52, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
