"Sarada Devi was a spiritual giant in her own right"? "Those who associated with her were overwhelmed by her unconditional love and selfless service. All were her children irrespective of nationality, religious affiliation, or social position. No one was ever turned away. She accepted all"? I'm afraid that's not a suitable tone for an encyclopedia. I'm, however, so overwhelmingly ignorant of the subject of Devi's life that I'm not willing to edit it. 62.57.4.185 14:00, 22 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Lead rewritten

[edit]

I have rewritten the lead, it had an unencyclopedic tone, dwelt with her biography in greater detail. — Nvineeth talk 12:09, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions

[edit]
  • Quote in infobox needs a ref
  • "Ramchandra's earned his living as a farmer and through the performance of priestly duties". Something is wrong shouldn't it be "Ramchandra earned his living as a farmer and through the performance of priestly duties"
  • "and was considered generous by ________" Fill in the blanks
  • "She is said to have started meditating on the Divine Mother": Shakti, Devi, Kali?
  • "was practicing spiritual austerities at that time" vague. yr?
  • "According to Saradananda" who is he?
  • "addressing her as the Holy Mother" Did Ramakrishna know english? There must an accurate Bengali term, Holy Mother may be a translation. Shouldn't Sri Maa used throughout?

An article about Udbodhan

[edit]

Can I create an article on 'Mayer Bari', Udbodhan? I'm afraid that I don't have much information presently.--Soumit Banerjee (talk) 09:47, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Already there is a small article. I have linked it to the title "Udbodhan". Please develop it. The best source would be the website of Udbodhan. —BlisSalvation (talk) 09:21, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
