Photos

[edit]

I have added an image associated with the windypits to the article page, but it does not show a fissure as such, so I have not removed the request-photo banner from this page. --Storye book (talk) 17:30, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect geolocation

[edit]

The geolocation on this article is incorrect. I have tested it with a gps handset, which is accurate to a few feet on open ground, and some yards under trees. I have also tested the OS map location, and this is inexact. It is certainly a woodland area as described in the article. It is not possible in my opinion to find the windypits using these locations.

The Rydale Windypits are not accessible according to this webpage. --Storye book (talk) 08:09, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The one external link is no longer live as the website seems to have gone more commercial. http://www.prehistory.yas.org.uk/content/windypits.html might be worth highlighting though it is mentioned as a reference above 4wd (talk) 22:05, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is an archived version here but does not appear to be very useful as a link. Keith D (talk) 23:15, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
