Grading of this article

[edit]

I was very surprised to see that this article was classed as 'start-class' in quality. It is on a very specific subject, and is no doubt of minor importance in the 'textile arts' field as a whole, but it strikes me as comprehensive, well-illustrated and well-written. I find it hard to imagine how it could be expanded or improved, and I should have thought it merited a much higher grading. AgTigress (talk) 20:25, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I upped it to B class.--Storye book (talk) 22:46, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great! I just came across it; I'm a knitter, and it seemed to me to be an excellent survey of its subject.  :-) AgTigress (talk) 12:57, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Knit Connect Lite/Wareseeker reference

[edit]

Hi, I removed this reference and replaced with a link to the Knit Connect homepage - this was reverted. A commercial directory should surely not be used as a reference in place of a link to the product publishers webpage, so please don't change this back. Have you checked the link to the Lite version on your linked page? It automatically starts downloading an application before you get the download. I found that worrying, because I could not be sure that it was genuine and not something carrying spyware or a virus. That's why I reverted your edit. I have no interest in promoting spam. Perhaps I should add that your linked page is selling something, whereas the link that you reverted was just offering a free download. --Storye book (talk) 12:27, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed I have checked the link to the lite version, and clicking it attempts to download the lite version from the itunes store, which is expected behaviour from a company website (you can only buy the product from itunes). It will most likely try to install itunes if you don't have it, as this is the only way you can buy the product. SmackEater (talk) 13:56, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
