Singapore-made SL35 series reliability

[edit]

German-made models are still desirable, but the ill-fated Singapore models had sub-standard electronics which made them chronically unreliable.

Although there were electronic problems reported with some models (SL35M and SL35ME) I have seen no reports of differences in reliability between SL35 cameras made in Germany and Singapore, and the SL35E cameras (all of which were made in Singapore) were generally quite reliable. Also, this assertion does not cite a source. I am deleting the sentence. Oboeaaron 00:51, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rollei 35RF vs. Rollei 35 RF

[edit]

I found this on Ebay: A "Rollei 35RF" - but not the 2002 model. Any informations about this? 125.162.47.86 (talk) 05:16, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of the German Wikipedia entry

[edit]

I am planning to translate the corresponding article in the German Wikipedia, which would contribute a lot of new material to this page. Please post comments/suggestions/objections here. --Lprd027 (talk) 03:03, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please go for it. While the German WP entry isn't perfect, it is much more comprehensive and informative (and correct) than the English entry. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 17:52, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I found your abandoned draft version of a translation of the German "Rollei" article in your sandbox and incorporated it into this article. Since your translation is based on the German article as of 2011-09, it still needs to be re-synchronized with the current version of the German article in order to take advantage of any improvements/corrections/expansions in the German article since then. Also, some of the info in the 2011-09 version is obviously outdated and needs to be updated and merged with the info from the English article. Some of the newly created redundancy needs to be removed. However, this is work in progress and will naturally happen over time. Thanks for your translation. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 16:08, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

126-format Rollei SLR

[edit]

The current article includes photos of the Rollei A26, a slide-open camera using 126-format film cartridges and yielding square images. In the 1970s I briefly used another 126-format Rollei, this an SLR model, which my 35-year-old memories suggest was the Rollei SL26. The one I used was borrowed, and promptly returned, but if anyone still has one of these and could add more definitive info to the article, that would be appreciated. 50.181.30.121 (talk) 07:56, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rollie Singapore Cameras used in Hood Vision

[edit]

My father got a patent on his panoramic camera (I believe it was done in the late 60's), which he built using 3 Rollie Singapore cameras. He took thousands of photos around the world. I still have the camera and am trying to locate some of the slides - unfortunately many got destroyed when he passed, but the camera remains. Later in life, of course, Fuji and others produced a pocket panoramic cameral. My Father's set up is heavy and bulky, but it worked beautifully. 2603:8001:8000:E165:D019:2385:CE3B:6A18 (talk) 06:35, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
