Infobox Updates

[edit]

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren and I am an employee at Rodan + Fields. I am interested in helping the Wikipedia community make updates to the existing Rodan + Fields article. I am aware of the conflict of interest guidelines and will do my best to follow them. Beginning with the infobox, there a few updates that can be made right away. Financial information is missing from the infobox, as well as references to support critical information, such as key people.

Since I will not be editing the page directly I have left the markup for the infobox with financial updates and additional sourcing, with hopes that someone can make these edits for me. LH at R+F (talk) 00:29, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unless I'm missing something, the only new information in the proposed infobox is the $1.5 billion revenue claim, but that's problematic because the one source, which mentioned it only in passing, didn't specify an exact amount (nor did it clarify whether it was annual revenue or revenue since inception). It's also problematic because the company is privately held and hasn't, at least to my knowledge, published a statement about revenue; also, any such statement would probably be unaudited and impossible to verify. I agree with User:Rhode Island Red and vehemently oppose this suggested edit until other reputable sources back up R&F's claims. PureRED | talk to me | 02:26, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Per this request on the WikiProject Companies page, I can say there is really no way to verify the income of a private company unless they want to open up their tax records. That is the difference between public and private companies. I am not sure why a company would want to add income in the first place unless it was a milestone. Just my thoughts but I don't see anything in the request above that would support the addition. --CNMall41 (talk) 21:56, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your feedback. I understand why we cannot include the income. I included this particular suggestion because I thought it was what editors preferred in order to fill out the infobox, but I'm fine moving forward without including it. Are we able to include the sources I provided to support the existing Key people in the infobox? LH at R+F (talk) 20:13, 6 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
