why this article is notable: subject is working for an important newspaper and important journals, and the number of positive reviews for his book.

He does seem to have done quite a good deal since the AfD in 2010, and might meet WP:AUTHOR #1 already. Are there any third-party articles covering him, something not from his employers or publisher? (That was the major concern when the article was deleted back in 2010.) If so, those references (not to Amazon.com) would probably get him over #3, too.
