Suspension

[edit]

The article cites "The Sport has suspension components similar to an early Porsche 911.[5]". That strange factoid is purely based on a quip from Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear, season 6, episode 1. I'll remove this statement until proven.

Third paragraph issues

[edit]

The third paragraph regarding fuel economy/environmental issues with vehicles such as this is relevant, but poorly written. I've inserted a citation needed for the race track/8 mpg sentence, however should the source reveal that this "test" was not done in the same manner as the U.S. EPA mileage figures that are also quoted, then this must be explained. I think that the addition of the last sentence in the paragraph was an attempt to do just that, however this sentence itself is misleading, bordering on incorrect (by omission of relevant background knowledge). I have not edited it, since the entire point of the vehicle's relatively low fuel economy should be rewritten, imo. The problem that I have with the last sentence is that should a vehicle be driven at speeds which one normally drives on a race track, then the fuel economy would be lower as is stated, but not explained. However, if a vehicle was driven in accordance with the driving pattern specified and standardized by the U.S. EPA on the same race track (to avoid traffic disruptions of the driving pattern), then the expected mileage should actually be close to the published figures. Surely calling this sublime is purely subjective?

Introduction of mild hybrid

[edit]

There is some topical interest in when the mild hybrid Diesel variant was first introduced, and I can't tell from the article as it is when that was. To do so would be an improvement I think. (Luton fire was a model L494) Midgley (talk) 16:10, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Engine & performance table for Second Gen?

[edit]

Could someone create an engine spec & performance table for the second generation L494 model? The ones for first & third generation models are awesome quick lookup summaries that significantly improve rapid fact-checking & comparisons. MStruzak (talk) 20:56, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
