Excellent article about a much neglected series.

small edit

[edit]

I added a small comment about the theme music and how, after being changed for the Brighton episodes, it was then changed back at the very end to suggest that Marker was "back on track".

formatting tidy up

[edit]

Broke up the rather monolithic paragraphs to ease readability.

Changed two of the main headings to make them less ambiguous (users may not realise that "The Thames episodes" refers to the company that made them whereas "The Windsor Episodes" refers to the location where they were set).

Further work is required on a) separating out the series generic information from the details of individual episodes and b) some more credit to the production staff, writers, directors, theme music etc. Ill do this when I get the time. --Prustage 14:26, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tone of Article

[edit]

Read more like a personal review or essay than a neutral description of the series, with opinions and a couple of rhetorical questions thrown in. MopyNZ (talk) 14:32, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Couldn't agree with you more. Excellent work editing out that POV material—you have inspired me to follow up with some further weeding.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 18:51, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Episode list, Series 1, 2, and 3.

[edit]

This has not been included in the article and I think should be of interest. Some research suggests that there were 41 episodes made of the so called ABC Era. Of these only 5 now apparently exist. ‘Nobody Kills Santa Claus’ S1. Ep.2.; ‘The Morning wasn’t so Hot’; ‘Don’t forget you’re mine’; S2.Ep.2. 'Works with Chess, Not with Life’; ‘The Bromsgrove Venus’ S3.Ep.9.. I intend to add the line to the section Episodes produced by ABC Television 1965–1968: A total of 41 episodes were made for the first three series. and to the section: DVD Release, Only five episodes out of 41 made, of the first three series, remain. These are: ‘Nobody Kills Santa Claus’ S1. Ep.2.; ‘The Morning wasn’t so Hot’; ‘Don’t forget you’re mine’; S2.Ep.2. 'Works with Chess, Not with Life’; ‘The Bromsgrove Venus’ S3.Ep.9.. surfingus (talk) 07:39, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
