how are men and women separated, united

[edit]

It would be useful to have some description of how the men and women are separated - different buildings on the property, different wings, or not at all - and united - eg Liturgy, work, meals, etc. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 22:41, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why is "Monastery of St John the Baptist" autom. linked here? Plenty of such monasteries, several far more deserving!

[edit]

For instance the "original" Byzantine one from the traditional place of Jesus' baptism (Al-Maghtas), also known in Arabic as Qasr el Yahud. Eastern Orthodoxy knows several other such monasteries. Concentrating only on the English one is a bit, let's say, narrow-sighted. Please fix this. Thanks! Arminden (talk) 17:43, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
