Olympic ChannelOlympics.com – On 29th of April 2021 olympicchannel.com has been completely merged into a new IOC platform/web-site Olympics.com. New platform is the successor of the old one and is not only a television channel but a web-platform for texts, videos, schedules and all the Olympics-related stuff VLaiquendi (talk) 14:07, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the code I see on the official website:
<title>Watch Live Sports Events & Latest News | Olympics.com</title>
<meta name="description" content="Read the latest sports news, watch live events, learn more about your favourite Olympic athletes and relive all the famous Olympic moments with our highlights.
" />. Isn't it explicitly saying that the title now is Olympics.com? Alternatively we could leave Olympic Channel as it is and create Olympics.com article. Thanks! VLaiquendi (talk) 22:10, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Even if "Olympics.com" is the new official name, that is not a sufficient reason for moving. See WP:NOTOFFICIAL. It's possible a separate Olympics.com article could be appropriate, but that would depend on the degree to which it represents a separate entity (rather than just a rename), and whether this new entity is notable. What should we do in this case? Olympics.com is the new IOC platform that combines all their different sites, supersedes www.olympicchannel.com and includes Olympic Channel as its component in the future. Olympics.com is still operated by the same team - Olympic Channel Services company in Madrid. Should we wait for something or leave it as it is and create Olympics or Olympics.com? Thanks! OP, since you seem to know about the subject, perhaps writing a draft article on Olympics.com would be a good idea. I'll note that the article should be verified with independent sources (WP:IS), not just what's on the official website. 162 etc. (talk) 19:19, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
