History

[edit]

I understand the chain of events that happened during the team's history, but the Pelicans didn't retain any history of their time when they played under the Durham Bulls name. So, it should be that the franchise was founded as the 97s but the roots dated back before their founding. The Triple-A Bulls retain the history of the Carolina League Bulls and also they are operating like the same team that played in the Carolina League. If anyone has links to articles or more information about these chain of events, fill free to share this information on this discussion page.

Found some info on the durham bulls carolina league franchise relocation. Some articles state the bulls moved from single a ball to triple a ball, some articles say the bulls relocated and were replaced by a triple a franchise either saying just a triple a franchise or saying they were replaced by the triple a bulls, and some articles say the bulls fielded a triple a franchise. It's hard to figure out how this article should be set as. Most of these articles are from the same newspaper. To read these full articles, you have to buy them or register. Whoever wrote the first paragraph, make sure you include your signature next time. Links down below.

There's kind of a similarity to the Carolina Mudcats relocation. C.J. Ratt (talk) 00:15, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Eastbound & Down

[edit]

Whoever is adding Myrtle Beach Mermen or Kenny Powers from the HBO series Eastbound & Down needs to stop. Adding this info to the Pelicans article is showing that you completely disrespect the franchise. Leave the article alone and don't disrespect the team again. C.J.
