New Updates

[edit]

Hey guys, I updated the page for a class project. We had to find a Wikipedia article that could be improved and then make changes to it. I expanded the history section, and reorganized the information into relevant sub-sections, adding in the 'Places of Interest' and 'Park Avenue' sections. Doing this, I also added two new references and an external link to the historical society.

My motivation was simply to make the page more relevant and accessible to allow more people to find out about our fine town. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yavo86 (talkcontribs) 00:22, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism by Mattykafoon

[edit]

Cleaned up some vandalism by Mattykafoon who seems to have some grudge against the Monongahela VFD?

Watt's Brick Yard

[edit]

Does anyone remember the Monongahela Brick Works owned by the Watts family? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Davaeth (talkcontribs) 15:05, 1 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

demon house

[edit]

who is the person that deleted the demon house article?

Response to Demon House article

[edit]

I can't say... However, since it is not an article of any importance it was likely deleted by someone doing a cleanup. -- user:lawrence142002

Joe Montana

[edit]

Y'know, in living in Monongahela for so many years, I bet some people would be surprised to know how many people in this town hate his guts for the things he has said about it. He even demanded to be paid to make an appearance at my old alma mater (and his) Ringgold High School. -- User:Lawrence142002 —Preceding comment was added at 06:37, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Data Inconsistency

[edit]

Why is the population in 1960 listed as 12,948 in the first paragraph, and as 8,388 in the Historical populations chart? Twalden4 (talk) 11:22, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Third class city/2nd smallest PA city

[edit]

This article needs to define Third Class City and cities in general in PA (for the claim that Monangahela is the 2nd smallest PA city). What is a Third Class City, and how does PA law define cities?Plantdrew (talk) 19:33, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I found the definition here and added a link to it. Peter Chastain [¡hablá!] 04:51, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Monongahela, Pennsylvania

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Monongahela, Pennsylvania's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "gnis":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 02:57, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mean annual temperature

[edit]

A mean of 63 F? Really? Afraid I don't quite buy this--perhaps the average annual high is 63. Hushpuckena (talk) 13:32, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
