[edit]Miroslav Aleksić (born 1978) → Miroslav Aleksić (which is currently a disambiguation page)
By way of background ...
In January 2017, I created the article currently called Miroslav Aleksić (born 1978). Its title at the time was simply, "Miroslav Aleksić".
Then, in August 2018, I created the article currently called Miroslav Aleksić (born 1954) and turned Miroslav Aleksić in a disambiguation page. Even at the time, the Miroslav Aleksić born in 1978 was starting to emerge as an important figure in Serbian politics, and I had some doubts this was the right decision.
In 2018, I concluded a disambiguation page was in order because the Miroslav Aleksić born in 1978 was (i) a one-time mayor of a small-to-medium-sized Serbian municipality, (ii) the former leader of a small party, (iii) a one-term republican MP, and (iv) someone who was starting to get more press as a spokesperson for the People's Party. All of this counted for something, but it didn't automatically give him precedence over a three-term federal MP.
Six years later, there's no question that the Miroslav Aleksić born in 1978 is the more prominent of the two figures.
I'm therefore proposing that this article be shifted to "Miroslav Aleksić" (and that the "Miroslav Aleksić (born 1954)" article remain where it is). CJCurrie (talk) 05:13, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
