English teacher in Germany?

Did Mike Underwood live in Nuremberg, Germany around 1969/70? My former school had a British student called Michael Underwood who taught English and had a very good reputation. A former student wrote that "our" Michael Underwood later had to do with Velvet Underground. The photograph here bears some resemblance but after 40+ years it is far from sure.
