Seperation

[edit]

Aren't Michael and Buffy seperated? He never wears his ring anymore. Is this true? If so we should correct the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by InvisibleYouth1 (talkcontribs) 01:42, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Commercials section

[edit]

If no one objects, I'm going to remove the section that has all the commercials Michael's appeared in. Just seems like fanboyism to me, which we should clean up. Plus, none of them seem that notable. --D-Day 19:38, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with removing the commercials. They really have nothing to do with his driving career, and the only way I could see a place for them is if some type of marketing section was added to the article to demonstrate how Mikey has used his marketability to promote sponsors more so than other drivers, but the individual commercial listing is unnecessary. Blueracer6 21:13, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm for removing them. There seems to be more about the commercials than about his racing career.--Caster23 21:29, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I propose that we add mikeypower.com as an external link. This site contains news articles from the races with the #55 team's radio chatter during a race. These are not opinion pieces; they're objective, and transcriptions of the radio chatter are included in full. The site also has an extensive biography about Michael Waltrip with proper citation of sources.

Leader

[edit]

Doesn't the leader of this article contain a tremendous amount of detail? It seems too long to me, anyway, but wouldn't some of this be better in the body of the article?

Also, I think the external link, proposed above, should be ok. If someone was going to object, they've had plenty of time. Ragityman (talk) 10:56, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To the idiot who types Sentences like This...if you can't do it right, don't bother editing at all and cite your sources when you do make an addition. Modor (talk) 16:39, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Modor[reply]

Controversies

[edit]

In the 2013 description of the Richmond race, where is the mention of NAPA pulling sponsorship for MWR? Sort of an important point, no? Tzittnan (talk) 21:36, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To Michael Waltrip Racing, yes. To Michael Waltrip, not so much. - The Bushranger One ping only 21:53, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bristol Crash

[edit]

From the article:

Onlookers were sure that Waltrip was hurt because of how massive it was but his brother Darrell Waltrip having rushed to the wreck confirmed officially he was alive. Waltrip only suffered cuts, soreness, and bruises in the incident.

Somehow, I don't understand it. The onlookers were sure that he was just hurt? Or were they sure that he was dead? I mean, why did Darrell confirm, that he was alive, when the onlookers were sure that he was hurt? Also - he suffered cuts and bruises - so he was hurt ...

I guess, the part about the onlookers is wrong and should be changed to "Onlookers were sure that Waltrip was dead ... --Saturnknight (talk) 23:12, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Leanna Decker

[edit]

Is Leanna Decker dating Michael Waltrip? If they are dating shouldn't this be in the Personal life section? 162.205.180.187 (talk) 12:48, 10 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
