Metaphysis has low blood supply, not a rich blood supply. That is why it is more affected by bacterial infection because it is hard for an immune reaction to reach it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.134.210.4 (talk) 19:33, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]


Metaphysis is located adjacent to the epiphyseal plate (top line) but the epiphyseal plate is located within the metaphysis (bottom line of first section)? Somebody who knows the answer to this contradiction, please fix this. --Africantearoa (talk) 04:57, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
