Notability

[edit]

Kodansha Encyclopedia warns that there are three men with the same name who lived about the same time. One is easily confused with the other ....

  • Matsudaira Ietada (松平 家忠, died 1581) was a Japanese samurai of the Sengoku period. He was one of the Tōjō branch of the Matsudaira clan. He died without an heir.<:ref>Kodansha. (1983). "Matsudaira Ietada" in Kodansha Encyclopedia of Japan, Vol. 5, p. 131.</ref>

Is this liklihood of confusion good enough as a reason for creating a stub article? It it enough to satisfy our Wikipedia standards of notability? I don't know how to sort this out. --Ansei (talk) 15:09, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
