Conflicting Statements

[edit]

At the beginning of the article the M242 is said to be used on many aircraft. On the bottom in the list of aircraft that use this weapon, it says "No aircraft use this weapon" I do not have a source, but it should say one or the other -Anders 11-19-06

Finnish Army,

[edit]

Does not have a single weapon of this kind, and its true also for NAVY, COAST GUARD, BORDER GUARD and AIR FORCE. Closest thing is "30 mm Bushmaster II Mark 44" that the ARMYs CV9030FIN IFV's have but it isnt quite the weapon.

Royal Navy,

[edit]

Does not use this weapon or calibre, so removed the entry about its use on Bay Class landing ships. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.147.181.47 (talk) 22:01, 27 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Source for specific Ammunition Information

[edit]

I have found this site:

http://www.gd-ots.com/sitepages/mca.html

And the information on it includes more, specific, info on the various ammunition used by the M242 Bushmaster. I would like someone who knows how-to, to make a Table or Chart listing the various ammos and stats. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Victory in Germany (talkcontribs) 14:05, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I also would like to see that done, but I get a file not found message when I try to follow that link. We had (unclassified) ballistics curves, at FMC, in around 1995, for three bullets. HE, AP and a discarded sabot ammunition which I believe was depleted U-238. David R. Ingham (talk) 02:04, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ukrainian use

[edit]

I’m seeing on X multiple reports of its use, including successful engagements with MBTs. Any RS for this? Springnuts (talk) 14:44, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

At a quick glance, there are some news sources about a T-90 MBT being disabled by 2 Bradley's in Ukraine, along with video footage of it circulating online 2600:1009:B06E:68F8:1880:356D:7DC2:5630 (talk) 15:49, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
