"related groups" info removed from infobox

[edit]

For dedicated editors of this page: The "Related Groups" info was removed from all {{Infobox Ethnic group}} infoboxes. Comments may be left on the Ethnic groups talk page. Ling.Nut 17:15, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would just to know: Why ON EARTH are the Tasadays even included?! It's already known that they were a fake tribal group made by some guy! The descriptio even says that! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.42.174.236 (talk) 23:41, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Possible inclusion

[edit]
  • "Mining divides Mandaya tribespeople". Inquirer.net. 2008-03-09. Retrieved 2008-03-09.
- The Mamanwa and the Manobo are embroiled in the same issue. They burned down company equipment last year, there were kidnappings of tribe members (allegedly by the mining company's security personnel) as well, demolishing of tribal houses (by the company), demands for royalty from the mining company (since the mine falls within ancestral lands apparently sold without consent by the government) which was met (I think), etc. Unfortunately I have not followed the issue closely and can not include said details into the article without a definite source of everything that's happened since a few years back.--ObsidinSoul 05:25, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some articles not included in template

[edit]

The Lumad template is incomplete, I could possibly fill it out, like Subanon, which is an orphan. --Sir Jazer 13 (talk) 12:32, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Filled in everything, fixed what I could, added pictures. But they still need expanding. Each may eventually need their own articles, but unfortunately I am not an expert on them. Especially the Manobo. It's weird how the largest group of the Lumads, and the most well-documented do not have their own article. I might make one in the future.--ObsidinSoul 07:41, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need more information on other tribes

[edit]

I have filled in what I can in the article. But it still needs more information of other tribes not mentioned in it (e.g. The Talaandig). It's a bit confusing since other tribes are sometimes considered part of a larger group (like the largest ethnolinguistic group, the Manobo, which can be subdivided into tribes like the Bagobo and the Atta, who despite speaking the same linguistic family, consider themselves distinct from the Manobo). Anyway, please help fill in the article. Some may eventually need their own articles as well.--ObsidinSoul 00:05, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
