Precision Formulae

[edit]

Please could there be a definition of a “precision” formula, or a link to a definition? JDAWiseman (talk) 14:52, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Marshall-Edgeworth index

[edit]

I finally wandered over to this article, and I think that it's a fine contribution! I would like to see the Marshall-Edgeworth index

added to it. —SlamDiego←T 10:37, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added the Marshall-Edgeworth formulas plus some other information I found on it. Feel free to add any other formulas. I've been slow to flesh this out.--Bkwillwm (talk) 03:38, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I just don't want to screw-up any longer-term vision that you have for this article. I realize that every article is (barring protection) open to edits by anyone in theory, but I've seen some well-conceptualized articles run right off the rails by well-intentioned edits from newcomers. —SlamDiego←T 04:57, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Resizeable delimiters

[edit]

You can get automatically resized parentheses and brackets thus:

\left( \right( \left[ \right]

For example

<math>(\frac{1}{2})<\math>

renders as

but

<math>\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)<\math>

renders as
