Clean up and the episode page

[edit]

I just came across this page through one of the episode pages as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikify. This page is absoloutely fine - doesn't need touching. But as I checked out more and more of the episode pages linked to they just get bigger and bigger - to the point that for what they are describing they are monstrously huge and detailed to the point of possibly infringing the copyright of the original cartoons. I don't know what the optimum length is - but if somebody else has a better idea please edit away Madmedea 23:14, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The episode pages are still a mess from what I've seen. Long plots with almost all the information from the show. They need mass condensing. It should be a summary: not a massive detail by detail guide to a 20 minute cartoon. RobJ1981 06:34, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summaries are not important any more thanks to the season and episode articles. I did a few remodeling on the list making it look more like the List of Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes. I am going to see if that makes it to an featured list article. Probably not but it's worth a try. Jhenderson777 (talk) 18:06, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Episode notability

[edit]

All of the episodes of this series fail the notability guidelines for television episodes. The way for these articles to be improved is through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. That is unlikely to happen, and these only contain overly long plot summaries, trivia, and quotes. Per that, they need to be a small part of this list. If there are no objections, these will be redirected soon. TTN 23:41, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest they all be restored to Individual articles. SpideyFan09 (talk) (contributions) 09:11 16 November 2008 (UTC)
I have now created another page similar to Neogenic Nightmare - The Sins of the Fathers, good idea? SpideyFan09 18:47, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That looks good, I was thinking whether we should make them look more like season pages or leave it the way it is. But I like the current pages too. --Gman124 talk 21:43, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by "you like the current pages too"? Personally I'd vote to continue creating pages such as Neogenic Nightmare and The Sins of the Fathers. SpideyFan09 09:51, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I mean if we make them look like regular season pages, then I think we'd need to cut down on the plot, since these two pages have almost the entire plot for some episodes. I just don't want to cut anything out. But yeah it does needs to be improved. Gman124 talk 17:38, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I speculate that a good example of good quality season page are they of The Simpsons, e.g. The Simpsons (season 8). SpideyFan09 17:46, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I actually think that they can warrant their own article, as to what Gman said ages ago that some contain more than just a summary, true, they weren't references, but I can find loads of web pages that can verify the claims. SpideyFan09 13:16, 1 January 2009 (UTC) I have recreated a few, but some still need a few more citations. Generally, I think that Night of the Lizard page is now quite good. SpideyFan09 14:05, 01 January 2009 (UTC) Unless there are any objections I'm going to redirect the season pages.[reply]

I think it would be better if they are left as season pages, in a week I will reformat the Neogenic Nightmare page to look more like a season page. Pages that contain just plot and trivia don't pass WP:Notability. Which is why I had only brought back the Alien Costume and Spider Wars episode page. Gman124 talk 16:33, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am recreating the episode articles as they were, but also adding references to support the information in the articles. I will add improvements to the episode articles soon. SpideyFan09 20:41 29 November 2009 (UTC)

There is additional information on this article regarding the production process that was never placed in the main article, unless the additional production information is placed in the main article I will say no to it's deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.192.76.248 (talk) 02:04, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. The Alien Costume got merged into this page, yet episodes like Ravages of Time, The Prowler, Rocket Racer, and Tombstone still have their own articles. FAIL. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.139.32.220 (talk) 03:45, 09 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Differences

[edit]

There should be a section or space that talks about differences from the original comic book storylines. Only some of the more prominent examples need to be mentioned. I would be happy to contribute them with references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.110.11.45 (talk) 20:15, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Episode order

[edit]

As seen in the earlier revision of the article, episode production order for Season 1 is different from the broadcast order. Some episodes originally aired out of order, creating continuity errors. This information should be added back to the article.

This website contains production codes and detailed information about the production of each episode, but I don't know if it counts as a reputable source for Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.0.61.114 (talk) 15:08, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"X-Men 1992" episode list already has episodes listed in correct order. Why not make so here, too?
