[edit]

I pulled this list directly from DCI's website, which may or may not be entirely accurate. If you know the status of a corps is different or if a corps is missing, please add them. Perhaps an inactive section could be added, although it would be a slippery slope of which inactive corps should be listed. Corps like the Troopers probably should, but you know someone would list corps that have no prospect of returning. Star is never coming back!!!! Then again, maybe past corps should be listed... but I don't want to create or maintain that list! — Lazytiger 20:26, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am currently working on a list of all past and present drum corps the name of the article is List of drum corps it will take me several weeks to complete and will still probably have many errors, so feel free to patch up any holes when I complete it. That way we can keep this page just for current DCI corps. Thanks. War wizard90 16:37, 26 January 2007

Cool! Thanks for taking the initiative!—Lazytiger 01:25, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category

[edit]

There is a category for DCI World Class corps. However, there is not one for DCI Open Class. I am not sure how to do it, but I would if I knew how. If someone makes that category, it will make this page unnecessary. Mynameisnotpj (talk) 12:29, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest copying the applicable code from Category:DCI World Class corps and creating the open class category here: Category:DCI_Open_Class_corps. You will then need to add your desired corps articles to the category by adding a link to the category at the bottom of the articles. I disagree creating that category makes this page unnecessary. Lists and categories often complement each other, not replace. Thanks.—Lazytiger (Talk | contribs) 13:22, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Couchmen

[edit]

While I don't doubt that the Couchmen are notable enough to have their own article, this page should be reserved for corps that are real, and currently competing in DCI. Gamma Metroid (talk) 10:28, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Work in Progress

[edit]

Per discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, I will be merging some content form drum corps articles into this one. It will improve this list article as well as preserve some content that might otherwise be lost to a delete/redirect (in the case of Crossmen, redirect). Please help out if you can, or at least be patient as I work on this when I have time. ~EdGl talk 03:48, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
