Rewording height requirements

[edit]

Some changes were made to height requirements. The wording was changed so all entries were consistent. There is a separate sorting parameter, {{sort|42|Over 42"}}, but differently worded entries still sorted differently. For the water park I changed the wording to "with PFD" instead of "with a PFD" or "with lifejacket". I added a note that some attractions require a PFD, to define that term and also to include the more familiar term "lifejacket".

It should be clear what "or if over, with a child" means (one occurrence of "or if under 60", with a child" was fixed). There may be some missing maximum restrictions or miscellaneous details. Roches (talk) 02:37, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Roches, thanks for your assistance. However, height specifications have been pulled from other amusement park articles on the basis that they violate WP:NOTTRAVEL. We want to avoid turning articles into travel guides or brochures, and instead, they should focus on encyclopedic content that has significant coverage in reliable sources. So really, someone should take the time to remove that column at this point, along with minor details such as restaurants, souvenir shops, etc., if they are mentioned in the article. --GoneIn60 (talk) 03:22, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Done; I can change the main article as well. All the references in Spash Works were to ride entries on the park website; all but a couple of them in the other section are the same. I'm not sure what to do with those references. Roches (talk) 04:04, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The references should remain intact, as they're necessary to show the ride exists and that the description matches what's displayed on the park website. As for the main article, I'd support removal there as well, though you may want to address on the talk page prior to making changes there. I believe that page is watched by a lot more editors. --GoneIn60 (talk) 04:33, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
