devil kazuya and azazel

[edit]

do any body think this two has a relationship? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Unknown2020 (talkcontribs) 17:58, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances

[edit]

Kazuya is one of three characters that have appeared in all Tekkens but one, Lei Wulong doesn't appear in T1, Anna, in T4, and Kazuya in T3. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.238.245.106 (talk) 03:12, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question: Is Kazuya really voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.201.35.172 (talk) 18:38, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jin Kazama's Conception

[edit]

Are we still going to keep trotting out this old chestnut about a Kazuya-Jun relationship. That was a result of the Tekken anime, which although licensed by Namco, was never acknowledged to be actual canon. All we know for certain from Namco is that the two conceived a child and that's it.--24.130.125.164 19:52, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Tekken Tag in history section.

[edit]

Why is there no story on how Kazuya was made a playable character in Tekken tag. Why no history there.... Tekken Tag is one of the best games in the series and you can unlock Kazuya, but why have you not mentioned it.. tut tut

Why would we enter a story section for a game that had no story? King Zeal 14:49, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And thers really no reason to, considering most characters came back, its non-cannonical. User:Darkdoom3000

Yakuza

[edit]

The second paragraph states that "The name Kazuya is an anagram of the word Yakuza, which is the name of the Japanese mafia. Several of his customization options in Tekken 5 include Yakuza-styled attire." This connection between the fact that his name is an anagram for yakuza and the fact that he has yakuza customizations is just speculation, and is most likely just a coincidence. It's unnecessary and should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.231.44.203 (talk) 17:41, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rivals...

[edit]

Would adding Heihachi and Jin (as of Tekken 6) as rivals be important? I think Heihachi at least would warrant mention since the two are almost constantly in conflict.SuperSonicTH (talk) 01:19, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. But Heihachi is foremost and firstly his father, so he is catergorised in family. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.238.245.106 (talk) 03:14, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can we change Kazuya's render to his Smash Ultimate one?

[edit]

I'm leaving this for someone else, because if I uploaded it, it would be marked as a blatant copyright infringement.

Sure. Besides it's his most recognizable clothing. Tintor2 (talk) 18:34, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: May I ask why that's neccessary? Compared to his Tekken 7 art, Kazuya's stance in the Smash render is very closed and hard to read. The T7 art is open and establishes the character and his features much better. If his costume is the problem, I can suggest his Tekken 6 render, his Tekken 4 artwork, his T6 CGI render, Tag Tournament 2 render (Image was flipped when I found it), or Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection. Just to name a few. 2603:7000:1F00:6B91:7C49:AFF9:E242:3366 (talk) 02:51, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with his Tekken 7 outfit is that it's the least recognizable version of the character. Even in the story mode of Tekken 7, Kazuya wears his white gi for his fights against Heihachi and Akuma rather than that purple business-like outfit. If you add an extra image, I suggest it should have a reason to like the reasons necessary for design such as like Kishimoto's take on Lars where he actually mentions why he chose certain parts of his look.Tintor2 (talk) 11:36, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes that's precisely why I laid out five different renders of the character in his most recognizable fit. 2603:7000:1F00:6B91:B0B4:10B1:E4D6:10B7 (talk) 18:59, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mmm, not sure what to do? We already had this issue with Terry Bogard whose article got reverted múltiple teams as many wanted to show his Smash image Tintor2 (talk) 20:44, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Jesus, Terry too... Ryu and Ken too? I might end up having a sezuire, let's just deal with Kazuya for now. Get a bunch of mods/editors here to discuss it. Maybe make a policy against Smash images unless they're especially well suited to represent the character? 2603:7000:1F00:6B91:B0B4:10B1:E4D6:10B7 (talk) 21:24, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Per MOS:LEADIMAGE, lead images are meant to "give readers visual confirmation that they've arrived at the right page." They should be "appropriate representations of the topic", "the type of image used for similar purposes in high-quality reference works", and "what our readers will expect to see." I'm not super familiar with Tekken, but in my brief research of Kazuya, it seems he is most commonly depicted with the white pants/no shirt look, so we should definitely use that. When considering which specific render or drawing to use, it...really doesn't matter. The Smash render is acceptable, so are many of the others linked above. If someone wants the image changed, its best to run a poll and we can vote, otherwise it will just turn into an image swapping war. Same goes for the other characters. TarkusABtalk/contrib 14:01, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure I'll get around to that when I have more time. Any lurkers can throw in their two cents if they'd like. 2603:7000:1F00:6B91:A0C7:ACEF:EC77:B7E (talk) 15:48, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As Tarkus states, we're generally going for recognizability, not most recent. I'm indifferent on what to be used, I'm just against that common yet misguided stance that we need to have the newest render possible all the time. We don't need to replace the old one every time a new render is released - older ones are fine if they still capture the character accurately. Sergecross73 msg me 01:55, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Of the images posted here thus far, the T6 CGI render posted by 2603:7000:1F00:6B91:A0C7:ACEF:EC77:B7E is the correct image to best satifisfy the requirements of MOS:LEADIMAGE. FLStyle (talk) 12:49, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Smash image is fine, since he's shirtless/buffed and wears his white pants. 71.237.101.174 (talk) 10:47, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. The CGI render from Tekken 6 fits best, and it's an open pose that defines the character's costume and features better. The smash render is very hard to interpret. There's no reason to show the newest render just to have it. 2603:7000:1F00:6B91:A1CE:9E3:19DD:40FD (talk) 13:36, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
For me, the Smash render fits better. So we should change it again to that. 31.203.74.115 (talk) 22:33, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
