Katy B's record label

[edit]

I submitted the following to the discussion page of the album 'On A Mission':

Katy B is signed to Rinse Recordings (the record label arm of Rinse FM) and her music has been licensed to Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited for release on Columbia Records (UK).

For proof of this see the Copyright claim for 'On A Mission' on iTunes, which reads:

"℗ 2011 Ammunition Promotions Limited under exclusive licence to Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited, except track 9 ℗ 2010 Ammunition Promotions Limited under exclusive licence to Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited"

All official mentions of the record label upon which 'On A Mission' and its singles have been released read "Rinse / Columbia"

Can somebody please amend Katy's 'Label' information in her infobox to read "Rinse / Columbia"? Jamiefromammo (talk) 20:00, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I believe Katy B did a song with DJ Zinc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlTe2R2Wxzo Do we have any more information on this, and if it can be included as a featured single? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.205.222.193 (talk) 23:02, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Full name

[edit]

On the 2010-12-14 (series 2, episode 67) broadcast of Freshly Squeezed, katy herself stated in an interview with Jameela Jamil that her real first name is Kathleen. No other Internet sources have this information, but would it nonetheless be OK to cite the episode as a valid source? Mac Dreamstate (talk) 10:49, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see why not. WP:RS says that video materials which have been recorded then broadcast can be used. So as long as it's cited properly (you could use {{cite video}} or {{cite episode}}) it's fine. Mhiji (talk) 08:26, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Birthdate

[edit]

Is the information about the birthplace London verified? According to http://www.findmypast.co.uk there was only one Kathleen Brien born in London around that time, which was in 1989. -- Firefox13 (talk) 02:20, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That says her birth was registered in Lambeth; births have to be registered where they occurred. Jim Michael (talk) 09:28, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Columbia or Rinse?

[edit]

It says in the info box that she is signed to Columbia, but she is signed to Rinse. So is Rinse part of Columbia or is it something which needs to be corrected? Jagoperson (talk) 07:19, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Participation in the Red Bull Music Academy

[edit]

Please add Katy's Participation in the Red Bull Music Academy in 2010, that took place in London.[1] You can find her in the list of alumni at 2010.[2] Thanks a lot!

Please see this discussion at the conflict-of-interest noticeboard (permanent link). A significant number of editors were opposed to granting this edit request because they felt that taken as a whole, the sum total of your edit requests were too promotional. Further discussion of your edit requests related to the Red Bull Music Academy should be continued at the noticeboard. Thanks, Altamel (talk) 04:56, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
