Hello, I'll be reviewing this article against the GA criteria. Sorry for the long delay; I know how you feel.

Review

[edit]
GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
A few problems to take care of:
    - "His photography business was not the only one established in the area during this time period." -> This is a little vague as to what it's trying to imply. Did he have competition? Was the photography business booming at the time?
    - "A blue velvet book covered with gold and diamonds covering the performance was presented as a gift on the occasion..." -> I'm assuming the book had Cephas work in it, but that's not very clear. I also think you should remove "covered with gold and diamonds" to make it more coherent.
    - I was bold and fixed a few other issues related to MoS and structure.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
    - Are you able to provide quotes for your citations? It would be appreciated, but I'll take your word for your claims if you can't.
    - ISBNs for your final two book references are the same.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
    - "This allowed the subjects to be photographed more quickly rather than having to remain still for several moments." -> I don't think details relating to his camera's shutter speed (aside from the shutter speed itself) is really relevant.
    - Final two sentences in "Personal life" seem irrelevant to Cephas, but seeing the lack of an article (or future article, for that matter) for them, I suppose it's fine.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
"Although both Cephas and his son were accomplished court photographers, Cephas was the most important of the two..." -> I'm unable to access the source, so this sounds a little non-neutral. Care to offer a quote?
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
Arsonal is the sole major contributor, nothing else to say here.
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
All images have expired copyrights and are in the public domain.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
