Social status of Janet

[edit]

Suggest a change, since neither by birth nor marriage was Janet a noblewoman, her father together with all her husbands being gentry and lairds. Hors-la-loi (talk) 09:04, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good suggestion! I have since changed the lead, calling her aristocratic.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 09:42, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation page

[edit]

We should make Janet Beaton (disambiguation) - James Hamilton, 1st Earl of Arran was married to a different Janet Beaton (probably this Janet's cousin, but I'd have to do more digging to be sure). This Janet quite rightly should have the main entry. I can't do it tonight, but will try later this weekend if no one beats me to it. - PKM (talk) 02:39, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The Earl of Arran's wife was another Janet Beaton who died in 1522.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 08:29, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done.
Are you planning to do Walter Scott of Branxholme and Buccleuch? If not, I'll start it.
Also, are you going to nominate this article for DYK? If not I will. (And Agnes Keith, too.) - PKM (talk) 16:34, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse my ignorance, but what does DYK stand for?--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 16:46, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, "Did You Know" on the Main Page. The process is a bit complex, but you deserve recognition for this work. I am happy to do the nomination for you. - PKM (talk) 16:50, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thank you very much.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 17:00, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Officially the cutoff is 5 days from first creation, but I put the noms in anyway...PKM (talk) 17:28, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Do you want to do Walter Scott of Branxholme and Buccleuch? If not, I'm on it. - PKM (talk) 17:33, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You go ahead and do it. I must go prepare dinner soon. I'm on CET time. Besides, I created a new article last night, my eyes are killing me!LOL!--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 17:44, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, working on it now. - PKM (talk) 18:58, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And Sir Walter is up!
My compliments to you, PKM. The article is very well-written, well-sourced and also is enjoyable to read. Great work!--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 06:15, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you like it. :-) - PKM (talk) 08:00, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
