World War Z

[edit]

The concept of drawing a line at the Rockies and making a final stand there is a reference to the identical situation in World War Z. The advancing hordes of Jerseyites likewise reflects the zombies. If we are going to remove cultural references that are uncited, despite them being uncited in a large number of pages for South Park episodes, then let's remove the whole section, not cherry-pick. --128.192.189.146 (talk) 13:47, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Original Episode Title

[edit]

This Episode was originally titled "It Came From Jersey" and it was then renamed to "It's a Jersey Thing" after it aired. Comedy Central and South Park Studios changed all references to the old title. The original url for the full episode is automatically directed to the new url. http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s14e09-it-came-from-jersey is automatically directed to http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s14e09-its-a-jersey-thing

No explanation given for the title change.Tastes like lead (talk) 13:16, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe its because they never say "it came from jersey" but they say "its a jersey thing" a lot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.196.58.201 (talk) 01:22, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Snooki Monster's take

[edit]

I sacrificed my sanity to visit Snooki's Twitter page to acquire this quote: "South park was beyond amazing lol!! Now all we need is my favorite show - SOUTH PARK! lets go #southpark!" Now I need to rinse my eyes and brain in fluoroantimonic acid until I forget the horrors I saw on her website and Twitter page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.89.85.137 (talk) 03:54, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Besides the fact that you failed to present a link or anything, there nothing really there in that statement that specifically is pointed towards this episode or her fictional depiction. Sarujo (talk) 20:00, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It was on her Twitter page, the link is implied, if I had edited the article, I would have included it. The date she posted it is what connects it to this episode, too bad if you wanted her to be more clear, but unfortunately, I am not in control of what she says (if I was, she would be mute). I looked for any response from her, and this was what I dug up. I see other quotes are here now though, so I assume she posted more about it and they seem more suitable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.89.85.137 (talk) 05:48, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

isn't this character also a reference to 'snarf' from the cartoon 'the thundercats' ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.161.55.34 (talk) 18:36, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Zombie-parallel?

[edit]
Is it only me or does this REALLY feel like Left 4 Dead?
That Snooki-thing acts like a Hunter (jumping on Survivors), the masses pushing on just to get shot without any struggling, the spreading 'Infection' to become New Jersey, the final stand, Kyle's mutation etc --188.195.184.194 (talk) 23:20, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

south park is not linked to bin laden death

[edit]

in the ending parts of this episode a CIA agent repels from a rope and shoots osama in the head. Randy Marsh ( Stan Marsh's Dad) says after bin laden is dead " WE GOT EM" - episode then ends to credits. this scene has been used for mutiple GIF images and some however believe that this episode predicted Osama bin laden demise.see the image here
