Production VS background

[edit]

I'm debating myself on whether to keep two distinct sections - one on the actual production of the album, with information on recording, composing, changes et cetera and one on the information release - or whether to have them blend together (as they do right now). Any opinions? - quispiamtalk [Anton Nordenfur] 09:25, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

I have seen many attempts at changing the genre of this album when it clearly is a motion picture soundtrack plus a symphonic metal/symphonic power metal album. It also contains many other genres as Folk Metal and even a Jazz Fusion song (Slow, Love, Slow). Please, if any person is going to make changes, be clear about music genres before typing any. :) 3:39, December 12 2011. (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Symphonies9511 (talkcontribs)

Release dates?

[edit]

The article states without qualification that the album was released on November 30. As far as I can tell, this is only true in Finland. The article should include the release dates in other countries, particularly the US and Canada - there's some confusion over whether the latter has officially happened yet, and the former definitely hasn't. I'd add this information myself if I had it, but I came here precisely to look this up and was disappointed to find it not there. 50.71.167.160 (talk) 06:39, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

30 November 2011 was the release date in Finland. I don't remember the exact dates, but the EU release was a few days after that, and the US release was early in 2012, I think 2 January but I can't remember for sure. I was very involved with their North American fan club at the time. The thing about it was that anyone who wanted Imaginaerum could order it from Finland and get it right away. I actually ordered by mail and got it in the USA on 29 November; they had sent the orders out early. So the 30 November date is the most accurate. Jsc1973 (talk) 01:06, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And Japan, Canada and Billboard charts? check it out: http://www.nightwish.com/en/news — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.138.153.16 (talk) 03:14, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now they are there, but only "International Albums Chart" for Japan? Why is that so? #7 on international chart does not qualify on the main chart? 85.76.22.126 (talk) 01:12, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation?

[edit]

Shouldn't this have something at the top like "For the film of the same name, see [Imaginaerum (film)]?" I keep ending up on this article while looking for the film one, and it seems to make sense to have an easy way to get to the other article. 71.231.129.18 (talk) 13:38, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Personnel on 'Song of Myself'?

[edit]

Can anybody help find and insert the credits for the voiceover samples during the final few minutes of "Song of Myself"?

Vocalist switch

[edit]

While it states that "During the USA tour, singer Anette Olzon decided to leave Nightwish permanently", she was in fact fired. Shouldn't this section be updated just as the related ones (band, singer etc.) were ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.76.229.162 (talk) 01:44, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
