Merge from 100people1poesy

[edit]

Information from 100people1poesy was merged into this page on 20 January 2006. The history of that page can be found on Talk:Hyakunin Isshu/100people1poesy. -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 14:17, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I posted the redirect for speedy deletion the other day, perhaps not long before self-imposing an exile from Wikipedia's "Poetry" articles. This page should be moved to Ogura Hyakunin Isshu because the primary subject of this page is a particular collection of poems compiled by Fujiwara no Teika, whose title is Ogura Hyakunin Isshu. While other works known as Hyakunin Isshu exist, the content of this article needs to be moved there to preserve the overwhelming majority of the edit history, which relates specifically to the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu. This page should then either act as a redirect to that article, which can have a section discussing other works influenced by it, or be rewritten to focus on other hyakunin isshu. I may not be able to implement these changes myself, because of my self-imposed ban, but I highly recommend someone else do it once the redirect at Ogura Hyakunin Isshu is deleted. elvenscout742 (talk) 08:38, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]

Hyakunin IsshuOgura Hyakunin Isshu – This move is non-controversial, as Ogura Hyakunin Isshu is the correct, official name for the work discussed in this article. However, when I posted the redirect for speedy deletion an admin reverted me by claiming it is an "editorial decision". This is incorrect, but now it seems like a safer bet to build consensus here. elvenscout742 (talk) 03:39, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
