This page is a historical timeline and not an encyclopedia article. It simply rehearses events, one at a time, with no overall view, no analysis, etc. It should be fixed or removed. Fixing it may take some effort. I'm proposing that its editors fix it. If time goes by, and no fixing happens, then it's time to think about an AfD. Tb (talk) 11:01, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't mind it if you fix it, but when I created this entry, I just assumed that facts generally speak correctly for themselves, and that adding too much analysis might unintentionally pose a problem in terms of POV. But I would also accept other approaches if anybody had any appropriate suggestions on how to better write the article. ADM (talk) 12:28, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You are right that we must also avoid original research. But "facts generally speak correctly for themselves" is not correct, and not a way to avoid POV problems. Facts must be selected and ordered and arranged, and that itself counts. You are correct that some fixes would be worse than the original, but I leave it to those who believe a good article could exist here to make one. Right now, it's not a good article. Tb (talk) 18:16, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article is still a mess, but I was able to glean the salient points from it and create an intro.--Sid rumpo (talk) 07:00, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
