Mythbusters

[edit]

The New Mexico Tech rocket sled, that has appeared several times on Mythbusters, uses surplus HVAR motors for propulsion. Should this possibly be mentioned in the article? Winston Spencer (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 02:37, 14 October 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Well, I'd assume HVARs are used for lots of propulsion projects like that, being both common and dirt cheap, but if you can find a reliable source stating that they are in fact HVAR and not Zuni rockets, then adding a sentence would seem to be reasonable. - The Bushranger One ping only 02:40, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Automatic unit conversion issue

[edit]

HVAR and FFAR articles (at least) show a problem with inch-to-mm conversion. These rockets had a diameter of 5.0 inches (see http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/app4/5in-rockets.html), i.e., 127.0 mm but the automatic unit conversion shows 130 mm instead. How can this issue be fixed? Lexlythius (talk) 16:56, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Big edit

[edit]

Added a whole bunch of new info. However, I have no idea how tables actually work, so if anyone can fix them I would really appreciate it. And sorry about the Google Drive links, I found those docs myself and can't find contact info for any of the manual sites to send them the docs. If I need to fix anything, please let me know.--MandolinMagi (talk) 16:59, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
