NPOV dispute

[edit]

To me this article seems to represent only one side, especially the "contra" side of view on this project. Therefore I doubt the neutrality of this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.192.110.90 (talk) 22:21, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Then add in information that balances it in your opinion (used reliable secondary sources) and don't remove content that is, but you dislike.Acdcrocks (talk) 10:53, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First paragraph fixed. HidroAysén adherents and contraries: please keep the proper use of Wikipedia. It is not a propaganda tool. You are welcome to post relevant, well cited, information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.111.3.39 (talk) 19:20, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is no propaganda here, just lot's of info on what the project is, does, who supports it, who opposes it, and why. Don't talk down to people as if you owned wikipedia, that is just rude.Acdcrocks (talk) 10:53, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I improved the information. Bye, Farisori (talk) 11:08, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article does mostly serve the controversy which is undue. A more detailed overview of the project would be good. I will be back to work on it.--NortyNort (Holla) 10:13, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Environmental Impact

[edit]

The Environmental Impact section is confusing. It does not seem to make a clear distinction between areas that will be flooded by the dam, and areas that will be affected by roads and construction. It would be nice if this were made more clear. Unfortunately one of the sources cited is no longer accessible. The other source is in Spanish, and a quick check through Google Translate seemed to imply that the objection of the natives was to the building of power lines on their land. However, I do not speak Spanish, and I am not particularly willing to trust Google Translate. Unfortunately, the section as-written seems to be confusing the issues of the area affected by flooding and the routes that power lines and roads will follow. Is the area to be flooded entirely unpopulated wildlife reserves? And then the area affected by the power lines and roads include areas of human habitation, including indigenous nations? It would be nice if the section had more clarity, but unfortunately I doubt that I would be a good person to edit it, as I cannot translate the local language.
