I think you may be jumping to conclusions from a source which is admittedly not easy to interpret. This biog., before you changed it, had a birth date of 1906. I think the dates of 1904 to 1999 mentioned on the University of Adelaide source possibly refer to his wife, Honor. Further down you will see mention that the copyright to some of his papers rest with him, now exercised through the power of attorney with his son, which suggests that he was still alive when this was written, which isn't particularly clear, but presumably 1999 or later.
