Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Nice work on your new article. It would benefit from the inclusion of a photo of the subject, if you can find a public domain one?

Are the covers of her books on Amazon Public Domain? If not would a photo I took of the cover be public domain?
I just looked at the copyright notice in her "Color Recipes" book and permission needs to be granted from the publisher ...
I'm in Rockport so the Rockport Art Association may have a photo of her that can be released by the photographer. MBCF (talk) 17:04, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MBCF. Thanks for looking into this. Unfortuntately, I'm sure those book and DVDs are still within their original copyright. However, stopping by the RAA may produce an image that is in the public domain and can be easily scanned. A candid photograph not used in a newspaper or magazine would be best. If this does not work out, I will simply take a screenshot from one of the many YouTube videos of Helen instructing on PBS. This is allowed and easily uploaded to WikiCommons. Thanks. Thanks, I have a request out to Rockport painters who were taught by Helen. It took me a month to get a Pee-Wee Herman photo my sister took approved. I will not give up. :-) MBCF (talk) 12:34, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
