Origins

In the course of rewriting the history section, I removed the following from the article, because, like everything else, it was unsourced:

During the 1130s it attracted the patronage of William d'Aubigny, 1st Earl of Arundel and Norman Lord of Clun. In 1135 he founded a priory of Canons Regular but having established itself as one of the Order's more influential houses, Haughmond was given Abbey status in 1155.

This all sounds entirely plausible, apart from the fact that William was pro-Stephen, and most of the donors were pro-Angevin (hardly conclusive). If anyone knows where it came from and can splice it back into the Origins section with a reliable reference, I'd be very pleased. Sjwells53 (talk) 20:07, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
