On the removal of recognitions

[edit]

Hi, company executive again (I had raised the request below). I noticed SwisterTwister removed the recognitions section which talks about the awards this company won. The awards were also sourced. Is there a policy against listing a company's awards? Earlier edits removed only the images of the COO receiving an award, and let the text be (check edit history) hence the confusion. --EnKapsulate

Just to clear up confusion as SwisterTwister seems to delete more and more content with each edit: First, is there a specific rule against mentioning awards? Singers, actors, movies etc. have awards and recognitions frequently mentioned. In this article, the recognitions were by industry third-parties and sourced to relevant websites, so why the removal? Note: I'm looking for an explanation is all. Also, the Products and Services section could use an overhaul (I noticed some text could be taken to be advertorial - however, it was also linked to relevant news articles supporting said claims), but why the complete deletion of said page? --FactChecker08

Some Proposed Updates and Changes

[edit]

Hi, I work at the Corp. Comm. team at FundsIndia, hence I am refraining from making any direct changes. I'd like to request someone to make the following updates/changes to this article:

  1. Change address to read as Third Floor, Uttam Building, No. 38 and 39, Whites Road, Royapettah, Chennai – 600 014[1]
  2. Products and Services, first paragraph. Please append this text to it: "However, it currently does not offer NPS on its platform." - no source, but as mentioned, I work here and it's not offered any more. You can take a tour of the site to cross-check.
  3. Products and Services, second paragraph, after "The platform was the first to launch Flexi SIPs in India, which enable investors to alter their investment levels depending on their financial situation.[19] FundsIndia pioneered robo-advisory services in India with its Smart Solutions and New India Portfolio products.", please add something along the lines of "These products were then developed further to create a 'comprehensive automated investment advisory service' named Money Mitr."[2]
  4. Products and Services, third paragraph, after "robo-advisory", we mention "ready-to-go portfolios" however, these are not available any more at the moment. Please change hte text to say "The platform offered ready-to-go portfolios, until 2016. These were then dropped with the introduction of Money Mitr" or something along those lines. Alternative: Just remove the line altogether.
  5. Under Recognition, please edit the first line to read as "FundsIndia won the National Online Advisory Service Award at the CNBC-TV18 - UTI Financial Advisor Awards for three years in a row, for the years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, and 2015-16.[23][24]" You can refer to citation 24 - it leads to the competition website and mentions Wealth India Financial Services (FI's parent company) under the tab for 2015-2016 as well.

I'll update this with more requests if I find any more changes required. Thanks. --EnKapsulate (talk) 07:57, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute

[edit]

Someone seems reverting my changes deliberately, and I could see the person having conflict of interests, possibly an affinity to the company. As a reviewer conflicts of opinion wont be tolerated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iflex (talkcontribs) 11:52, 15 September 2015

"Someone" is two different people neither of whom have an "affinity" to the company. Your edit is a blatant violation of Wikipedia rules and policy. Specifically WP:OR (Original Research) as your sources are all primary sources and not secondary reporting from newspapers and magazines. Your edits are not WP:NPOV, making claims that far exceed what the sources say. And you intentionally changed a direct quote to make it read something different from what the original quote said. It's obvious you are a party to this dispute and are attempting to use Wikipedia to malign the company. -- GreenC 12:33, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to remove this as well, but you beat me to it. I can't find any secondary sources to confirm that this is worthy of inclusion per WP:V and particularly WP:WEIGHT. SmartSE (talk) 12:38, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
