Map not accessible for editing

New Floridian train

There is a new Floridian train as the result of combining the Silver Star and Capitol Limited, as seen on Amtrak's website. It will not be the same route as the original Floridian but bear the same name. Still waiting for more info, but we would have to determine if we should make a separate article of the new Floridian train or have these two trains in one article. That was mine too. That way the original train's history (as well as the FRA planning for the actual restoration of the Floridian) is retained. Then for the new train, it can have its own new article and possibly avoid confusion. Traintrak (talk) 20:59, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What we need is an official announcement from Amtrak and then some coverage elsewhere (such as from Trains magazine). All that we have so far is that the "new" train is available for booking, and that's not enough. Mackensen (talk) 16:55, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
