Flag wrong

[edit]

The second of these two flags (the older green one) is wrong. The stars should be in the centre of the flag not on the right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.77.144.164 (talk) 15:12, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

·The flag with the stars on the right is attested in the 1979 British book 'Flags of All Nations BR20 (2)', Her Majesty's Stationery Office. Raccoonny (talk) 05:37, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The legislation makes it abundantly clear that the stars were NOT centred. The stars should be on the fly/right.

The Cook Islands Ensign Act of 1973 states:

The Cook Islands National Ensign shall be described as follows: ‘The Cook Islands National Flag shall be a green Ensign, having on the fly thereof a circle of 15 gold stars.’

The webmasters of any websites showing a centred design should be informed that such a design is incorrect.

Given that there were 120 entries to the 1973 competition, is it right to include this loser and with no mention or explanation at all in the article? Davidships (talk) 16:03, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
