What rationale is being used for the dates on the books? These clearly aren't the original date of publication. Sawdust in his Shoes, for example, was originally published in 1950 (see Amazon). Greer Watson (talk) 06:19, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I wondered about that, as I have several of these books & the dates given here are decades later. It seems likely that the dates given are for some specific edition of each, but what is the logic in giving them in this way? If I find time & remember, I'll try to track down the ones I have; but would I just replace that information that's here? I'm not sure whether the copies I have are the original editions, though for the most part I think so; but at least they give copyright dates. Have to track them down. --Davecat4 (talk) 22:11, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, some of the ones I thought I personally have seem to have been borrowed from libraries or other family members, but I put in copyright dates from two books. cluebot considered this to be vandalism, but I've restored what I did. I may be able to come up with a couple more. --Davecat4 (talk) 18:07, 18 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
