I changed "The verb dredge is sometimes used in cookery to mean sprinkling a powder (e.g. flour or icing sugar) over a food item" to

"*The verb dredge is sometimes used in cookery to mean coating a food with a dry ingredient(e.g. flour or icing sugar) by first immersing it in a wet coating, such as milk or egg."

This is how the word is used in my cullinary universe, the food network, and other places. If I'm just plain wrong, fix it.
