I think my version is good enough to be a stand-alone article. It took a while to write so don't redirect it again please. :( Welliottdude (talk) 21:30, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you explain how it meets the requirements of WP:MUSIC? From WP:MUSIC:

Most songs do not merit an article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for a prominent album or for the artist who wrote or prominently performed the song. Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts, that have won significant awards or honors or that have been performed independently by several notable artists, bands or groups are probably notable.

Which, specifically, of those criteria does this song meet? Thanks!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 21:33, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Umm.. Err.. Damn. I got a bit carried away. I guess that's another few hours wasted on edits that just get reverted. My bad. :( Welliottdude (talk) 21:38, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. BTDT. At least with a redirect, if it does wind up meeting one of the criteria in the future, an "undo" is all that's required to have a good skeleton for adding info. :) --Fabrictramp | talk to me 21:42, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ahem. Time to look like an idiot; what does BTDT mean? That was the first full article I've ever written. I guess I'll retreat somewhere less harsh now. :P Welliottdude (talk) 21:50, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BTDT means "been there, done that".
Hope you don't think Wikipedia is too harsh a place -- great job on a first article, it's just a shame it didn't meet the notability requirements. But as the song's just been released, that can change. Keep up the good work!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:03, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :). Time to stop spamming this page, I think. There just seemed to be so much to read and I wanted to jump in and do something constructive. Ah, well. Am I allowed to write articles on any fairly well-known artist that doesn't have one though? I've spotted a few that I was surprised were missing. Thanks for your help. ^^ Welliottdude (talk) 22:17, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Moving the discussion to your talk page. :)--Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:43, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Christ, I'm glad the release finally became notable. Good job, Stone Gods. :) Welliottdude (talk) 23:04, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
