I don't think he has any problem meeting the Academic Notability guidelines:

  • Founded a new discipline (grey systems theory)
  • This discipline not only has many academic articles, but its own journal "Grey Systems: Theory and Application" published by Emerald, a major and respectable academic publisher
  • Honored in 2011 by an Honorary Fellowship of the World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics (see http://wosc.co/wosc-congresses/) - I have added this, replacing the former link, which is now obsolete although not yet broken.

The real problem may be that there is no Wikipedia entry on grey systems theory and the related subjects that have grown up around it. I am not competent to write one. In the meantime, I favor removing the notability template. Marine Parade (talk) 08:18, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Marine Parade. Wikipedia does have a page on Deng's theory. I have therefore cited that page and removed the questionable notability tag.China is wonderful (talk) 18:53, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
